Water Contamination on Military Bases
You may be alarmed to find out that the serious illness or chronic disease you or a loved one has been diagnosed with may actually be linked to the military base you were stationed at. Through firefighting foams called AFFF (aqueous film forming foam) used on military bases, water was contaminated with PFOS, or man-made chemicals that contain carbon, fluorine and other elements. In other words, chemicals in the AFFF foams had unknowingly entered the water supply on many military bases, which in turn caused damage to you or a loved one.
